The VenX Revolution™

Frustrated with the technical and regulatory limitations of sclerotherapy and lack of consistent efficacy of surface laser for the treatment of spider and reticular veins, the inventors set out to develop novel systems to treat these small and medium sized veins.

Drs. Ed Boyle and Andrew Jones, experienced vein doctors who run the busy Inovia Vein Specialty Center (www.bendvein.com) in Bend, Oregon, invented a device to treat spider veins using a technique that they termed “nanophlebectomy.” Nanophlebectomy uses a handheld, disposable device called the VenX Revolution™ to treat spider and reticular veins in a transdermal fashion by piercing the vein and disrupting the layers of the vein such that the vein coagulates and then undergoes a wound healing response that results in its elimination.
